The Event
Mammoth TUFF is an extreme bike adventure through the Eastern Sierra California hills, from the iconic town of Mammoth Lakes, and rolling through the TUFF terrain of the Long Valley Caldera.
The short course is around 45 miles with 2,000 feet of climbing, and the long course is around 100 miles with 8,000 feet of elevation gain—this extreme sport = thirsty competitors.
The Challenge
WATER was one of the most complex math problems for Mammoth TUFF to solve for the 2022 event. The race course is less traveled because of access to water. They needed drinking water for two remote aid stations to minimize single-use plastic waste. Ideas were brainstormed, and then WALLOP WATER came on their radar, but could we help them?
The Solution
YES – WALLOP WATER could help; it was a great event feature.
The WALLOP WATER EVENTA a portable bottle refill station connected to remote water- was the solution Mammoth TUFF sought to provide free, clean, safe drinking water for their competitors, staff, and volunteers in the remote wilderness of the hills of the Eastern Sierra, California.
