When South African hydration brand REVIVE approached WALLOP WATER with a vision to transform how electrolyte drinks are delivered at events, we knew it was the ideal Custom Build challenge.
The brief was ambitious: create a mobile, sustainable, high-capacity hydration platform that could serve thousands of athletes while delivering a premium brand experience.
The result is the REVIVE Hydration Pod — South Africa’s first mobile on-tap electrolyte station.
The Challenge
Across many running, cycling, and wellness events, hydration is often treated as a basic utility. Temporary tables, disposable cups, single-use packaging, and warm sports drinks have become the norm.
REVIVE saw an opportunity to do things differently.
They needed a solution that could:
- Serve ice-cold electrolyte drinks at high volume
- Offer multiple flavours simultaneously
- Reduce single-use packaging waste
- Function efficiently in outdoor event environments
- Create a memorable branded experience for participants
Our Custom Build team was tasked with turning that vision into reality.
The Build
Designed and manufactured in Melbourne, Australia, the REVIVE Hydration Pod combines advanced beverage-dispensing technology with event-ready mobility and premium branding.
At the heart of the system is a refillable keg-based dispensing platform that holds 464 litres of electrolyte product across eight flavors.
Each keg feeds dedicated tap lines connected to an integrated cooling system that chills the product as it is dispensed. This ensures athletes receive a consistently cold drink from the first serve to the last — even during long summer events in the Western Cape.
Beyond hydration, the Pod was designed as a complete brand activation asset.

Sustainable Infrastructure That Performs
The REVIVE Hydration Pod shows what is possible when sustainability and event infrastructure are designed together.
By replacing single-use packaging with refillable kegs and on-tap dispensing, REVIVE can significantly reduce packaging waste at every activation and improve operational efficiency.

Launching in Cape Town
After its completion in Melbourne, the REVIVE Hydration Pod was exported to South Africa and deployed across REVIVE’s growing network of community and event partnerships.
The Pod now supports running clubs, trail races, cycling events, and wellness activations throughout Cape Town and the Western Cape.
