Back in March, fresh off HYROX BRISBANE, we had a bold idea scribbled on the back of a beer coaster:
Let’s build a mobile sampling beast for Dr Hydrate.
Not just any van. We wanted a show-stopper.
A custom-built, self-sufficient, flavour-pouring, heads-turning hydration weapon—ready to roll up and serve anywhere, anytime, no crew required.
The Mission
Build a mobile hydration unit that:
- Looks as sharp as the Dr Hydrate brand (think matte custom wrap and sleek lines).
- Can go big or small—from local gym activations to mega events like HYROX.
- Is 100% self-powered, using solar and cutting-edge battery tech.
- Can brew on the go, chill like a boss, and leave a serious impression.
What We Built
Enter the Dr Hydrate Commercial Sampling Van—an absolute weapon of a build, inside and out:
- Fully solar-powered with high-capacity batteries—no cables, no generators, no drama.
- Custom-built brewing zone—prepping Dr Hydrate on the fly, anywhere you park it.
- High-end taps down the side of the van—pouring up to 7 icy-cold flavours on demand.
- Rear retail zone decked out with LED strip lighting and a 32” screen looping premium Dr Hydrate content.
- Precision-chilled hydration—because flavour and function both peak when it’s served cold.
- Custom vehicle wrap—eye-catching, brand-aligned, and turning heads wherever it rolls.
First Outing: HYROX SYDNEY
We rolled the van out at HYROX SYDNEY—and fair to say, it stole the show:
- 24,000 athletes
- 30,000 spectators
- 250+ staff & volunteers
The Dr Hydrate Van held its own and then some.
We weren’t just handing out samples—we were the hydration backbone of the event.
The Results
- 10,950 litres of Dr Hydrate poured
- 30,000+ steps/day clocked by our crew
- Flavours flowing non-stop in the recovery zone, athlete lanes, and activation spaces
- Endless brand exposure via our retail display and media content
- Zero hiccups. Just smooth, high-performance sampling action.
